This is where it all starts.
The most important question we must be asking in the age of AI is not about the technology itself, but about the nature of the individuals using the technology.
Who or what is this entity that forms the building block of a society? Who is said to have unalienable rights. The answer to the question has nothing to do with software, hardware, bio-chemical-electronic contrivances or regulation. It is not answered by the physicist or computer scientist.
The answer is not complex.
It is an individual life unit that is aware of being aware. It has power of choice. It can create. It recognizes truth. It can perceive, evaluate and act.
It is a sovereign entity entirely responsible for its own actions and for the condition of life around it.
It is you.

It is in this space alone where the ultimate outcome of AI will be determined; where the future of mankind will be decided. Whether we export sanity to Mars of tyranny; whether we export compassion and responsibility or malevolence.
This entity will not be denied.
