What is The First Definition?

It is the single concept that can guarantee that independent thought and action will triumph in the age of AI

The individual has been falsely taught that he is a brain or a sophisticated electronic device —- just another part of the world of physics and chemistry. This is simply not true.

The actual truth, the one which forms the basis of independent thought and action, and a free society, is that:

The individual is a unit of beingness that is aware of being aware. A distinct source of life energy capable of independent creation, thought, and action.

How do we begin the task of safeguarding independent thought and action in a world of advancing technology and ineffective and often harmful practices in the mental sciences.

We start with a proper definition of the basic building block --- the individual; and we make this broadly known,

The individual then, is an agent of cause; a self-determined life unit that is aware of being aware. It has power of choice and the ability to create.

It is not just an organized collection of responses to the environment.

Its potential is virtually unlimited.

It has a native capacity for kindness and compassion.

It doesn’t have a soul --- it is one.

It has its own relationship to the Creator

It can create and use technology without diminishing its own ability to think and act independently.
